Why Iphone is not right phone for me

The much anticipated Apple Iphone 3G is officially released here in the Philippines courtesy of Globe Telecoms.

While I admit I marvel, even salivate, at its slick design and touch screen features, it is not suitable for a user like me even if I have some 37, 599 pesos to show for.

Here are some reasons why...

Firstly, it is quite expensive for a simple laborer like me. The unit amounts to four months salary or my lifetime savings.

To activate the unit, I need to have Itunes in my PC and a broadband internet connection. Quite complex for a winamp user like me squeezing every minute from my dial up connection.

I have to buy a separate charger. Otherwise, I have to charge it via usb in my pc. My father would be stressed out reminding me of our electric bill if I always do that.

It has no message forwarding and draft for sms messaging. Even though I am not an forwarder of text messages, I do need this feature from time to time. Not to mention, it has no MMS.
