Black Friday bug bit me

I was searching for print-from-iphone apps over the internet when I came across another iphone application called Black Friday. I mistakenly thought of it as having religious connections because my brain mixed Good Friday & Black Saturday. Common! It's too early in the morning. LOL!

Curiousity took over me that I began researching about Black Friday. Here's what I found out.

As it turned out, the Black Friday being reffered to was the Friday after the thanksgiving - a major holiday in the United States. Thanks, wikipedia!

Though it is not an official holiday, Black Friday came to be a big shopping day. Stores take advantage of this day to offer great sales because most are off from work. Thus, it has become the unofficial start of the christmas shopping spree.

Going back to the Black Friday iphone application, it is called mall maps - you are here. The application is designed to help shoppers during black friday with a database of stores and mall floor directories.

As there are big items on sale during black friday, a shopper needs to get ahead of other customers. Knowing where to find that coveted item on sale is winning half the battle. Most shoppers line up as early as 5 am to get ahead. With this application, he or she can go directly and immediately to the desired section after the store opens its doors.

Well, Black Friday is now another trivia for me and for you. ;)
