We are the World 25 for Haiti

I'm posting this We are the World 25 for Haiti widget as my way of expressing my support in the current efforts of a lot of individuals (particularly famous artists) in soliciting help for earthquake-devastated Haiti. And I pray, that just like the original song, this remake will also be a success in aiding Haiti.

I saw it in Channel 9 and I immediately googled it, here's the video:


We are the World is the famous collaboration of Michael Jackson & Lionel Richie in the 1980's and performed by famous artists of that era, including Kenny Rogers, Tina Turner etc. in aid of Africa who suffered famine then.

Anyway, wikipedia said that the original song/single was;

A worldwide commercial success, it topped music charts throughout the world and became the fastest-selling American pop single in history. The first ever single to be certified multi-platinum, "We Are the World" received a 4× certification by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Awarded numerous honors, ..."We Are the World", which was eventually named the biggest-selling single of all time... As of 2009, it has sold more than 20 million units and raised over $63 million for humanitarian aid in Africa and the US.

I hope that this remake - We are the World 25 for Haiti - could attract more help for Haiti.
