Google Search Bar Today features Tchaikovsky

The Google Search Bar is the first thing I meet to start my day job and countless of times the rest of day. The simple design of the Google search bar conceals the internet giant's most powerful weapon - searching the internet for the most relevant information at a fraction of a second.

However, from time to time, Google diverts from its deliberate simplicity to reserve that most coveted internet space - (advertisement-wise) - above its search bar to something Google wants to feature or honor.

Google Search Bar Today features Tchaikovsky

Today, it features Tchaikovsky. The image leads to the Wikipedia page of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. A 19th Century Russian Composer who was born on May 7, 1840.

In the past, I have seen Google feature St. Patrick's Day, the recent Vancouver Olympics and of course, the letters TOPEKA above its powerful search bar. My officemate Sab shared she has seen Sesame Street characters, Vincent Van Gogh's painting and the Hubble Telescope.

But I think this will be my favorite google search bar theme to-date, google.com.ph 's search bar on the occasion of the Philippine's Labor Day.
