Should I Accept Google AdSense's NEW Online Terms of Service ?

True to the announcement at Inside Adsense Blog, Google has rolled out Adsense's NEW Terms of Service to all its publishers, including me. But should I readily accept Google Adsense NEW Online Terms of Service?

When I logged on to my adsense account this morning, I was welcomed with this page.

Initially I thought, I logged in using another account. But then I remember that a few days back, Inside Adsense Blog announced this roll out.

I scrolled down ready to click accept when item # 15 caught my attention that is not clear to me.
If you choose to implement any of the following Services on a Property, you also agree to the additional terms identified below:
AdMob: the AdMob Publisher Guidelines and Policies.
Custom Search Engine: the Custom Search Engine Terms of Service.

I searched online for someone kindhearted enough to scrutinize and explain clearly the changes in this new terms and conditions set by Google. But I think, it's just been rolled out. Maybe in a few days someone will do. Hopefully, way before the deadline set by Google. Otherwise, I don't have any choice but to accept this changes.

Adsense Earnings Right at my Chrome Browser

An Adsense toolbar for the Chrome browser was recently released. It enables adsense publishers like me to check Adsense earnings and a few other stats without going to the adsense homepage.

Get it here.

This is very welcome news to me.

I prefer the Google Chrome browser because it offers the most screen resolution of my tiny Blue H1 netbook plus it also functions as search bar.

Through the Adsense Toolbar in my Chrome, I can quickly check my adsense earnings without launching a new window or a new tab. That's one less task for me because I usually check my earnings first thing after I connect to the internet. Also, one less work for my often hanging overworked netbook.

Hat tip to problogger.net!

RIP Old Adsense Interface

Goodbye to the 'ol too familiar thing that greets me first after firing up my Google chrome browser. A notification when I accessed my adsense account yesterday subtly compels me to familiarize with the new one.

Goodbye to the Old Adsense Interface. Goodbye old pal. Google will be retiring that page by mid-November.

Goodbye to the best source of elation among my online browsing habits and also the best source of frustration.

Franky, I don't like the new adsense interface. Too cluttered for me. Perhaps growing in age makes us all unmalleable to most changes. I woudn't be exerting extra time just to be accustomed with it. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in my own due time. Type rest of the post here

Adsense Issue: Adsense Leaderboard Ad Appears Inside My Blogger Dashboard

I successfully implemented a template change in one of my blogs - the Prepaid Cellphone Portal. Unfortunately, something went awry that is annoying me now.

The end result of the said template was an issue with Google Adsense. An adsense ad in leaderboard size format is appearing right inside my Blogger Dashboard, in the Design Tab/Page Elements.

This post is my quest on finding the solution to remove it.

Adsense Ad Appearing Inside Blogger Dashboard - Design Tab

Every publisher of adsense ads in his or her website/blog knows it is wrong to click on your own ads. I'm worried that I may inadvertently click on that ad while making modifications on the page elements of my blog template.

Of course, I tried searching online for a solution but so far, have failed to find one. Finding none, I resorted to posting my problem at the Google Adsense Help forum. Here.

The last resort would be to go under the hood (again), study the html/xml codes and perform trial and error. But I'm not in the mood for that right now.

I'm hoping that this adsense issue would be resolved soon. I'd appreciate suggestions from any of my helpful readers/visitors.

Making Money Thru Shared Blogs & Shared Adsense Ad Spot

Blog idol Apol presented me a wonderful way to make more money via Google Adsense - Shared Blog + Shared Adsense Ad Spot. Who am I to refuse?

Shared Blog + Shared Adsense Ad Spot

As he was busy with a lot of things, he no longer have the time to update one of his high traffic websites - High Demand Jobs.

As per our arrangement, I will write blogposts to keep the blog up-to-date and he will give a premium adsense ad spot to me . One that consistently earns for him.

Last week, I was able to complete the initial four posts required. And my ad has been running for 2 days now, and I already have earnings! Woot!

Shared blogs is a win-win solution in managing websites. Offering premium adsense ad spots can entice fellow bloggers for collaboration.

Good thing Google allows sharing ad space.

April Fool's Day Luck

I do not know how or why, but something convinced me to blog about Google's April Fool's joke that I end up having a milestone of sorts in terms of blog visits and adsense earnings.

In the process, learned something on how to get tons of traffic for one's blog. Don't worry, just read on. April fool's is already done.

At the office, I was just trying out guest-posting on blogs to boost the profile of one of the accounts I'm using for my company. The blog idea came upon seeing the letters TOPEKA instead of the usual GOOGLE letters on google's homepage/searchpage. Since, it's different from our company's niche, I decided to put the entry on a general blog.

Some research, linking to google's blog and personal words later, the blog entry was posted. I never noticed except now that google's blog displays a list of blogs that is linking to their blog entries. Whoala! That was an instant link. The official google blog sent me tons of traffic today ( April 2) which is probably equal to the sum of all visits to this blog the whole of last year! I became skeptical but my analytics and adsense reports were saying otherwise.

I'm not yet sure but this is probably a good technique if you want a surge in traffic to your blog.

Blog about something of significance. In this case, TOPEKA and then link it to a high traffic site like the google blog. Put in mind that the site you will link to should have a feature of Links to this post or something to that effect. Your backlink in that site can drive referral traffic to your site. If its massive, I'm sure it will do wonders for your blog and your blog earnings.

To those SEO experts out there, is my theory sensible? Or maybe this is still a part of Google's April Fools joke.

Please hit the comments button while I still convince myself that April fools day is not all pranks and jokes.
